Residential Landscape Installation
Bringing an Extensive Landscape Design to Life
Some landscape projects require more than a great design — they require coordination, adaptability, and a team ready to get the job done. For this extensive residential landscape installation, The Garden Gates Landscape Company was brought in to assist another landscape contractor in completing a property originally designed by a landscape architect.
With a demanding deadline and limited labor availability, our team stepped in to help move the project forward, completing several essential elements of the landscape installation while adding thoughtful details that brought warmth and character to the finished space.
Comprehensive Landscape Installation
Working alongside the original contractor, our team handled several key components of the project, including irrigation installation, sod installation, landscape planting, outdoor lighting, and the repurposing and installation of flagstone throughout the property.
Each element played an important role in bringing the overall landscape plan together. From establishing healthy green lawn areas to installing irrigation for the landscape and illuminating outdoor spaces, our work helped turn the established design into a finished, functional landscape.
Custom Details That Make a Difference
Although the overall landscape design was already in place, we found opportunities to introduce our own creative touches through carefully selected details and distinctive landscape features.
Decorative pottery added character throughout the property, while layered flowering plants around the pool created a softer, more inviting atmosphere. We also repurposed a traditional sugar kettle as a unique focal point, incorporating a piece with timeless Louisiana character into the landscape.
The flagstone installation offered another opportunity to personalize the project. By putting our own spin on the stone layout, we introduced additional visual interest while maintaining the integrity of the original design.
Poolside Landscaping & Outdoor Ambiance
The pool area benefited from layered plantings that bring color, texture, and depth to the surrounding outdoor space. Combined with thoughtful landscape lighting and carefully installed hardscape elements, these finishing touches help create an inviting environment for relaxing and entertaining.
The integration of irrigation, sod, planting, and lighting also supports the long-term function and enjoyment of the landscape.
Collaboration from Start to Finish
This project highlights the importance of teamwork in bringing an ambitious landscape design to completion. By collaborating with the original landscape contractor, adapting to a tight schedule, and focusing on the details that make a property feel finished, The Garden Gates Landscape Company helped bring the larger vision to life.
The result is a cohesive residential landscape that combines established architectural planning with personalized finishing touches, from custom flagstone work to distinctive decorative features.
